Euphoria

You visit various places in your life time and enjoy many of them, appreciate them – for their location,  beauty, importance.  However, few visits give you a kind of satisfaction which can never be compared with the rest. Recently I had been to Raigad fort – The Capital of Swarajya, The Capital of Shivaji Maharaj!  Out of 3 visits to this forts, this was by far one of the most satisfying visit for me as this visit to historic place was made along with my nice friends, Dhanashri, Sanskar and most importantly my 79 year old grandmother !!

My long pending plan of taking grandmother to Fort Raigad was made possible by Dr. Rahul Warange / Mr. Suresh Asudkar who ensured that the palanquin was available for grandmother to take her around the fort (Due to knee joint problem she cannot walk much).  And the visit was made extremely interesting by my friend Sachin Upadhye who – out of his passion – accompanied with us to give valuable historical  information about fort Raigad and Shivaji Maharaj  … Listening to him was an experience indeed… Thanks a lot, Sachin !!
