Kondeshwar…

AbhiShri | | Sunday, July 24th, 2011

For those Mumbaikar’s who wish to spend half day of peak monsoon, this is a place located about 7-8 km from Badlapur railway station. Temple of Lord Shiva (hence the name – Kondeshwar) and Ganpati  with a waterfall flowing on one side, makes this a beautiful place to enjoy the nature and have a piece of mind. Tremendous water-pressure from the waterfall has resulted into the gorge and hence, swimming nearby waterfall is dangerous.

(Weekend sees a crowd – some of them being with total lack of civic sense who indulge in drinking & dancing in front of Lord Shiva. Sadly, this is a horrible scenario at many otherwise beautiful places !!)
