Bharatpur – Chambal – Fatehpur Sikri (Jan 2012)
Of all the birding places I have visited so far, Keoladeo Ghana National Park (Bharatpur) has a special place in my heart. Easy accessibility, decent accommodation facilities, good tourist spots around (Fatehpur sikri – 25 km, Agra- 50 km, Gwalior 175 km) makes this good family outing-cum-birding destination.
Roaming around in the park itself freshens you up – especially on less-crowded forest trails…some of these trails have a heavenly touch….indeed! This is one of those places, which looks extremely fresh every time I visit it.
Recently, we 11 birders visited this birders’ paradise and with a count of about 110 bird species ( special thanks to Manju :-)), it turned out to be a good outing combined with Dholpur and Fatehpur sikri visit.

Awesome pictures Abhi !!!
Classic example of bird and nature photography.
Bharatpur – Chambal area is an excellent location and is a must visit for all birders.
Please consider publishing a book for birders in India, when ready.
Thanks. Tushar Bhansali
