Korigad – 01.09.2013

We – Dhanashri & myself – had long been thinking of taking our Pillu – Sanskar – along on a short trek. Deriving its name from the temple of Koraidevi – Koraigad a.k.a Korigad is one such place where novices or laymen can start their trekking activity. Needless to mention, it is hence a good place to take a 4 year kid along :-). Giri-Trupti-Reva, Trupti-Gargi, Swapnil -Jyoti, Sachin, Sanjay accompanied for this extremely short and simple trek.

With monsoon taking rest for a while, the Sun had an opportunity to shine gloriously over the hills of Sahyadris. As always it was fun to experience Shravan with varied shades of green, lakes full of water and wild flowers blooming all over. Whatever may the weather and beautiful nature around be, success of any outing depends on the participants to a significant extent. And, apart from the grown-up members, I must appreciate the effort of 3 young trekkers – Reva, Gargi and Sanskar for exhibiting amazing stamina throughout the trek … congratulations !! 🙂

  1. The pictures and sky around look more clear when they are clicked after the rainy season…specially the wild flowers that grow on the ridges are a treat to watch…..
