Kulang gad
Just after crossing the Thal Ghat (from Kasara to Igatpuri), you are welcomed with some huge hills on the eastern side including the highest peak of Maharashtra – Kalsubai hill. There are some noteworthy trekking destinations in this range like Ratangad, Bhairavgad, Pabargad, Ghanchakkar hill etc. We, however, chose to visit Kulang gad – offering highest NET CLIMB in the entire Sahyadri range. Settled winter was just the perfect weather and trekking company was equally good. 20-25 km journey to Ambewadi from Igatpuri and then a 4-4.5 hr trek to a massive hill fort of Kulang gad was a testing but enjoyable time indeed. I enjoyed it as much as my last visit to this fort back in 2003 .
(Sunny, clear days with minimum recorded temp of 9.9 deg C in the night)

Hi Abhi ,
Must be wonderfully chilly trek . What kind of gear did you took ?. How did you measure the accurate temperature ?.
Beautiful images , specially sunrise snaps .
